Automated workforce screening services provider Accurate Background LLC completed the acquisition of CareerBuilder Employment Screening LLC from CareerBuilder LLC.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The combined entity will operate under the Accurate Background brand.
Private equity firm Apax Partners LLP’s technology-focused growth equity fund The Apax Digital Fund also invested in Accurate.
In connection with the acquisition, former CareerBuilder Employment executives Kristen Whitt and Cheryl Cerkoske will join Accurate as senior vice president, operations and vice president of sales, respectively.
Barclays and Stifel acted as financial advisers to Accurate and The Apax Digital Fund. Latham & Watkins LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett served as legal advisers to Accurate and The Apax Digital Fund, respectively.
PJT Partners and Bowstring Advisors served as financial advisers, and Sidley Austin LLP acted as legal adviser to CareerBuilder.
