One of the largest online marketplace connecting freelancers with clients, Upwork opened for trading for the first time Wednesday morning on the Nasdaq as UPWK.
Upwork on Tuesday evening priced its initial public offering at $15 per share but trading began at $23. With nearly 12.5 million shares in the IPO, the company raised $187 million at about a $1.5 billion valuation.
