The workforce marketplace and digital temp agency, Jobandtalent announced a  series of funding in December 2021. Raising $500M to advance their mission and research, Jobandtalent said the latest funds will be used to speed up its expansion in key markets, including the US.  Over the next two years, the temporary labor service company plans to increase the size and scope of its tech suite, build out a more robust sales team, and add crucial executive roles to its C-suite to help oversee the expansion into new markets.

TextUs Secures $22mm Growth Equity Round To Scale Industry-Leading Text Messaging Platform

Messaging platform TextUs raised $22 million in December led by Atlanta-based Eastside Partners with participation from Colorado-based Access Venture Partners. The funds will be used to accelerate product innovation and market expansion. The company reports that with more companies and job seekers looking for solutions to connect in a mobile way, TextUs provides an opportunity to engage customers and candidates at scale and convert them into higher closing rates.

South African Talent Marketplace Offerzen Gets $5.2m To Deepen European Expansion

OfferZen announced its first round of funding since its founding in 2015 this December. The $5.2M of Series A funding is set to help grow its tech community, enhancing its support and offering. In the next year, Offerzen is expanding into new countries and markets, so the funding will also support their operations and enable them to build out a strong team.

Shiftsmart, A Marketplace Matching Shift Workers To Employers, Grabs $95m

Shiftsmart, a labor marketplace provider, helps match hourly employees with open shifts and jobs, allowing companies to manage their workforce needs. In December of 2021, Shiftsmart announced that they raised $95M. This new funding will help scale its verticals and hire additional staff to support its growth. With a team of 60 employees (up from 30 new members from last year), they hope to expand their efforts and connect even more individuals with companies in need of hourly workers.

Screenloop Secures £1.88 Million Seed Investment From Investors Including Blissgrowth

The hiring intelligence startup from the UK, Screenloop, secured £1.88M in seed investment to help support their initiatives to hire globally. This round of funding will allow the Screenloop team to better supply their solutions and place job seekers into open roles around the world. By advancing its automation and intelligence capabilities, Screenloop hopes to support organizations as they fill gaps in their talent pipelines.

Turing, A Temporary Staffing Platform, Announces $87 Million Series D Funding Round

As a temporary staffing platform, Turing allows organizations to hire at scale on an as-needed basis. The latest round of funding at $87M marks the 9th time in the last 12 months that Turing has deepened its developer base. Turing plans to use these funds to help build more in-depth profiles for software developers as they work to match them with open roles.

Angellist Just Closed A $25m Fund To Back Startups Based On Hiring Velocity

Angellist started as a platform to connect angel investors to startups and has expanded its offerings to include a full-service end-to-end suite of tools. One of their latest initiatives, the Early Stage Quant Fund, announced $25 in funding. This tool works to supply startups with checks to help support and accelerate growth. With this funding, Angellist will work to develop more intelligent software to identify and evaluate which startups to invest in.
